The Meyers and the Stan’s BrandSource of Beatrice store take the opportunity to “return to the community” by donation to many charities which include the Community Food Pantry and Emergency Services, Mother to Mother Ministries, Adult & Teen Challenge, and the Boy Scouts; and contributing to the purchase of the latest drug dog for the Beatrice Police Dept.
1970
Stan Meyer received training as an electronics technician in the US Army. Soon after his return home, in 1970, Stan & Judy Meyer opened up their first store. The size of the store was 800 sq. ft.
1975
We purchased, re-modeled and moved into a larger store in Wymore, Nebraska. The size of the new store was approximately 2,000 sq. ft.
1980
With the increase in sales and service, we purchased, re-modeled and moved into a store located at 910 East Court in Beatrice, Nebraska, next to what then was the Arctic Circle.
1985
Due to growing needs of our valued customers, we again felt the need to move into a larger 10,000 sq. ft. building at 911 E. Court in Beatrice, Nebraska.
1995
We moved to the Indian Creek Mall with over 50,000 sq. ft. We added furniture & bedding to allow our customers great prices & selection from furniture, TVs and Appliances.
2003
We converted to Ashley Furniture Homestore and we also purchased the last 2 drug dogs for the Beatrice Police Department and Gage County Sheriffs office.
